Music

Music has enormous power to engage the emotions. Our services provide a rich variety of music that is in harmony with the ministry of God’s word. It is a significant part of the life of the church .

Choir

The Sanctuary Choir is an important part of the worship life of Collingwood Presbyterian Church, singing each Sunday at the Sanctuary service and at special programs and services throughout the year. This choir is open to all church members and friends over the age of 15. Rehearsals are each Wednesday from 7:30 PM -9:00 PM and Sunday from 10:30 AM -10: 50 AM. We participate every Sunday in the Sanctuary service at 11:00 AM. Please talk to Dennis Blubaugh (the choir director) if you are interested in joining us.

                                 Handbell Choir

Our bellchoir rings English handbells as well as handchimes. The group rings in worship through out the year. Rehearsals are Wednesdays at 6:15 PM. Jean Metzger, Interim Handbell Director, is always happy to find new ringers!

                                           Refuge

Refuge traces their genesis to a group of people who started out wanting to get out and play music together. They were hoping to play special music every once in a while at Collingwood Presbyterian Church’s contemporary service, The Garden. The band adopted the tongue-in-cheek name, “Holy Avengers,” and was brought in as the regular worship band in early 2008.

The band continues to evolve and has seen members come and go. They continuted to reinvent themselves as Refuge.

The band is resolved to help create meaningful, powerful, authentic worship experiences.  Featuring an eclectic mix of secular and sacred influences mixed with talented musicianship, they strive to always be somewhere above and beyond the expected.
